I’ve got a meeting at the end of this month in NOLA and will definitely look up a few of your recommendations. I agree with several of your recommendations already: Marigny is where it is quietly happening in my visits over the last several years. And it is a nice hike back to the Quarter to burn off some calories after dinner.

It’s unfortunate that Jazzfest is the last two weekends of the this month. Funny how these meetings tend to be scheduled around that time….

Ahh… you evoked such memories. I have only returned once since Katrina, to collect what few belongings she didn’t claim as her own. One day, we’ll venture back, but to leave a second time would just be too much. So we’re waiting on the little ones to not be so little.

I found NOLA to have a very nice “European” atmosphere. I love to be able to walk for hours, surrounded by beautiful houses and see well-socialized dogs in bars.

“Naw lins” is a great place for traveling and capturing the culture of the place in the architecture and the people. And, food, always the food!
